This year for Easter we were completely on our own. We celebrated it all by ourselves. The egg dying, the egg hunt, the dinner, the whole day. Except for the few hours spent at church. I was actually asked to speak in Sacrament that day, and I was so greatful when I was told that there would be several other speakers plus a musical number, so to plan on taking 5 minutes or less. I took up my 1 minute and 53 seconds, and that was about the perfect amount of time for me!!! Somehow I have managed to go many years without speaking in church, in fact I have never spoken since I've been married. I have been asked just one other time before, but I said no because it was while I was on bed rest with Hayden and dialated to a 5, and for some reason the counselor didn't understand why I wouldn't do it! But I feel I had very good reason to turn him down. I have always told myself that if I was asked that I would probably tell them that 5 minutes is about all I could do. So I feel that this was the perfect week for me to be asked!
The boys got little excavation kits in their baskets, and as soon as they got home from church they went busy, digging and brushing away. Hayden found pieces of a dinosaur bones, and Dusty found 18 rocks.
