Tagged!

1. I spent a lot of time playing with Barbara, Cassi, and Kerilyn.
2. I was 8 and had no idea how fast time would fly.
3. I loved to ride the 2 miles to school on my bike. I rode with friends, siblings, and I even loved to ride by myself.

1.
I was getting ready for my Senior year of High School to begin.
2. I was working at Subway and trying to save as much money as I could. (I worked there for 4 years!)
3. I was looking forward to purchasing my first car - paid in cash!

1. My baby Dusty was almost one, although he seemed to be a big boy to me.
2. We moved into a tiny little 1 bedroom house that was just down the road from my parents. I remember pulling Dusty in the wagon to my parents and nobody was home. So we stole a few tomatoes out of their garden and Dusty ate them like they were apples on the ride home.
3. Chris got a new job, working for Schlumberger in Evanston, Wyoming. We moved again, and then 6 months later transfered to Vernal. We love it here.

1.
Chris was gone for 7 weeks for more training, leaving me and the boys alone for the jail inmates to stare at us as they did yard work across the street at the nurisng home. Actually I think a couple of them were staring at our bicycles in the carport.
2. You should have seen my little chunky Hayden. He was just over 9 months old. At 6 months, he weighed 24 lbs!! People would just laugh when they saw him. His cheeks were so big that his eyes would disappear when he smiled. But he was oh so cute - and such a sweeetie!
3. Chris was never home, so I got a year long gym membership and went almost everyday for an hour. They had a daycare there that I took the kids to so I could get a break from them. I loved that hour!

1. I spent too much time painting the outside of our house. But I got it done!
2. I had half of my thyroid removed, leaving a nice scar at the base of my neck. (my Dr. would like to cut the scar out and try again.)
3. We had a fun Family Reunion at my Dad's buddies cabin at Bear Lake.

SO FAR THIS YEAR...
1. I have done very few projects on our house. I need a break!
2. I sent a child on the school bus for the first time - my 3 year old!! That was really hard to do. We got him into a school for speech therapy.
3. We've had a lot of new things: Kindergarten round-up, youth soccer, and T-ball to name a few. My kids are growing up!

YESTERDAY I...
1. Took the boys to story time at the library, then to free school lunch.
2. Rode over to Roosevelt with Chris to take a machine part to his cousin.
3. Got to bed much later than I wanted. My pregnant body wants more sleep!

TODAY I...
1. Did some cleaning and laundry.
2. Talked on the phone.
3. Was just told by my oldest that he's hungry, noticed it's about dinner time, and I have no idea what to make!

TOMORROW I...
1. Will water the lawn and garden.
2. Will do whatever I want.
3. ? We'll have to wait and see.

IN THE NEXT YEAR I...
1. Will possibly be living somewhere else, but who knows where, we'll see where the job takes us.

2. Will have a little baby to play with.
3. Will have some time to myself while the boys are in school!!! At least for a few months until this baby comes.

TAG... Whoever would like to do this!

8 Years!

Today is mine and Chris's wedding anniversary of 8 years! I just want to tell Chris how much I appreciate and love him. We has been a wonderful husband to me and an awesome father to our boys. He has really stepped up and helped when I've needed it the most. He has worked so hard to provide for our family which allows me to stay home with the kids. I am so proud of him for what he has done and accomplished. We have had our share of struggles, but we have gotten past them and learned and grown from them. We are now going strong and looking forward to many more adventures together. Me and the boys were able to go with him to Denver last week and we enjoyed our time together. He was there for work, but we also had time to relax and play. We considered it is being a "vacation" and counted it as our anniversary celebration. So, Happy Anniversary Babe! Thanks for all you do - I love you!

Some News

So here it is, we're having another baby! YEA! We tried a couple of years ago, but that one didn't last long, and then after a string of events, I just felt that I couldn't do it. Well, we've thought about it for quite some time and decided that we are ready again. We don't know whether we are having pink or blue yet, but either way we're very excited! We just started telling people (although our little Hayden already had it all figured out). I'm about 12 weeks along and due January 1st. Chris is determined to get the New Years Baby, but I really doubt we'll make it that far, in fact we'll be lucky if we make it to December. I've been working on the nursery already because it's questionable if I will be able to later on. We've thought up some names - for a boy, Cody William Scott. This one was easy. We had Cody picked out 4 years ago along with Hayden, but we couldn't decide. So if the baby came out looking like Dusty, he would be named Cody, and if he didn't look like Dusty, we'd name him Hayden Christopher. And out he came looking like CHRIS! So Hayden Christopher became his name. But ever since then Cody has been real to me, so if we have a boy, he will be Cody William Scott(William after my Gpa Palmer). And for a girl, we are pretty stuck on Kyrie Belle Scott (Belle after Chris's Gma Lula Belle Scott - whom we adore!). The only thing is I hope this doesn't cause much conflict. I'll just say that I found out that a cousin of mine is having a girl and is due a few months before me. I guess she has a name picked out, but is not telling what it is. But when our names were told, we learned that her name is VERY similar to our girl name. I talked to Chris about it, and even though she will have her baby first, we are going to keep that name. I don't know if she'll care or not. We thought of the possibility of changing the first name, the only other name we have considered is Josie, but we're not planning on changing. We are pretty stuck on Kyrie Belle if we have a girl. I know that baby names can become sensitive to some people, so I hope we don't cause any problems. I just don't want it to appear that we stole or copied her name. But anyway, we are looking forward to having either our Cody, or Kyrie!

Boys and Balls

Dusty had a T-ball game on Thursday and I let Hayden go out in the field to play catch during warm ups. Then the coach asked for the team to huddle just before the game and I told Hayden it was time to come out. He had a complete meltdown!! I offered to play catch with him on the grass, but that wasn't good enough. Chris arrived just a couple of minutes after the game started and saw Hayden and asked what was wrong. Chris always goes out into the field to help these new ball players, and told Hayden to grab his mitt to help. Hayden was so excited! And he almost caught a ball too! So today we had 2 T-ball games and Coach came up and said that it was totally fine if Hayden wanted to play, bat and all. I wish you could all see this little boy beam the way he did! This is a picture of him hitting the ball for the first time, he even got it on the first swing, (pretty good for a 3 year old)! He was so excited and so was I! He always thinks that he is just as big as his brother. I don't know what Dusty thinks about Hayden playing, but Hayden thinks he is officially part of the team. I totally enjoy watching my boys play, I have never really been into sports, but that part of me is changing! There is that statement that says "Having kids changes everything" - totally true!

Chris update

So I usually don't have much to post about Chris, but today I do - although it's not a very fun one. He gets to put my honey-do-list away for awhile and gets to relax and sleep for a few days. He just had another sinus surgery, this being his 4th one. His last one was 10 years ago, and hopefully this one will last him a lot longer than that. We love our Doctor out here (he's our absolute favorite!), and he did a great job. It's amazing what they can do. By going through the nose, our Doc was able to get to the very center of Chris's head. And with new technology, they could see his brain within a couple of millimeters. Before this latest technology, the doctors have had to guess everything, and stay way back to keep from puncturing the brain, and couldn't do all that what was needed. With what they used today, the Doc was able to thoroughly do the job, carefully getting within just a couple millimeters of the brain - AMAZING! Our Doctor is so awesome, I brag about him all the time. He is an ENT, Chris and I and our children have all been his patients. I really wish that we could go to him for everything, I wish that he was our family doctor, pediatrician and OB as well. So anyway, back to Chris - he had all of his sinuses cleared out, some polyps removed and the passage ways opened up. He is so far doing really well with it all, or should I say sleeping really well. Hopefully this surgery will make a BIG difference for him.
