Basketball Star!!

Dusty just finished up his first season of basketball this week. It was so enjoyable to watch him play. I think he's found a talent as well as a passion. I must say he does very good with a basketball! He has good control dribbling, and has very good form shooting the ball, and makes a lot of baskets! He really impressed both Chris and I with his abilities, but we are mostly greatful he has found another love in life. We are greatful we live so close to the school where we can go shoot some balls, I'm sure we'll be spending lots of time over there! Way to go Dusty Boy!

Yesterday Kyrie was 2 months old, and I took her in for her check-up and shots. I was guessing she would weigh around 10 lbs, and guess what? She weighed 10 lbs exactly! And she was 22 inches long. She is getting so big, but compared to my boys, especially Hayden, she is much smaller than they were at 2 months, and I'm greatful she's staying smaller for awhile! Maybe I'll actually feel like I have a baby! Dusty always, even when he was tiny, seemed like a big boy, he never really acted like a baby, he was a big boy. And Hayden was so physically HUGE that he didn't seem to be much of a baby either (he would smile and his eyes would disappear because his cheeks were so big!). I'm enjoying having this sweet, little girl!

Hayden continues to be daddy's buddy, and it so handy for me! I cannot help him with his shoes etc, because I am not his buddy, dad is. It is so nice (except for when Chris is gone!). And Chris got called to be a Scout Leader! He was first asked to be over the Bears, but they have changed their minds, and put him in Weblos. I'm excited for this, I think it will be good for him, and at the same time, it exposes our boys to the Scouting program. I told him that if they ever meet here at our house and I know ahead of time that I will make treats! I think the boys will have fun with this!

Never enough

Okay, so you all might have had enough pictures of the baby, but I could never get enough. After doing that post last night, we went upstairs to get ready for bed and Kyrie was full of smiles and I got a picture of one (as well as a bunch of other cute ones)! Somehow she manages to get cuter and cuter everyday. I know I have other things and people in my life, but lately she has been the most exciting to post about. I know that she'll continue to get cuter and more exciting as she learns new things and shows more personality, but to me, there is nothing funner than having a baby. So I have to get in all I can since she'll be a baby for only a little minute.

8 weeks old today!

I can't believe my baby has been here for 8 weeks already! She has been so much fun- she spoils me and we spoil her. She does not like to be alone. She complains if she is by herself, which I don't mind because it means I get to be with her more. She gets to help me cook, clean, do laundry and scrapbook. I hope that somehow she is taking it all in and learning how to do these things (that now take me a lot longer to do while keeping her happy)! She is such a cutie and everybody wants to take a "peek". One lady called her "a cute little fashion girl". She has been smiling a lot lately, but I have yet to catch it on camera, and she came really close to laughing the other day while watching me eat popcorn. I'd slowly put a piece of popcorn up to my lips, and she'd get excited to see it disappear. She has been a good baby and I just love being her mother. She has been such a special addition to our family, I love her SOOOOO much!!!!!

UNO

Dusty got to pick out a game to play for family home evening on Monday and he picked UNo. Hayden was too busy to join us for the first few games, and the first game that he decided to play, Dusty won. And of course Chris being Chris (who can't handle losing) had to go on about how Dusty must have cheated. Hayden got really excited and giggly and said "Can I cheat next time?" It was really cute! He really wanted to win, so the next 2 games Chris and I both cheated a little to help make him win, and then he won the next game too (without any cheating)!

A Good Weekend

Kyrie finally got to meet some of her grandparents. My parents flew into the Denver airport last Saturday. The only downside of the weekend is that they had to go back home on Tuesday. It was fun to have them come out! On Monday we went to the aquarium, and here they are with the boys posing with "Bruce" the Shark.
Kyrie enjoyed all the love and attention she got. She even shared a couple of smiles with them.

Kyrie was blessed on Sunday Feb. 1st. She looked so beautiful in her dress from Grandma Palmer.
