baby

1 week old - I love these bears, they help keep his head from flopping around while he is in the car. He loves to eat them.We ordered pizza, and Ky pointed to her mushrooms and asked why baby Camden pooped on her pizza. She has had a hard time taking it all in. She has been very emotional. She wants to know why baby Camden gets to use her baby wipes and her stroller. She runs into the other room when Dusty holds the baby and cries, "My Dusty Boy makes me cry". She has a hard time that she now has to share her brothers attention. She made me feel really bad a couple of days ago when she curled up into a ball and said, "I need my mom back". I feel really bad for her because most of my time and attention is now mostly on the baby. But at the same time she loves her brother. She gets up on the couch with him and talks so sweetly and strokes his face very gently. She tells him that she loves his tiny fingers, toes and his tiny hair. Although it is hard for her, she loves being a big sister and is a great help.Camden's first bath...11 days old

Camden J. Scott

He is here! Camden J. Scott joined us on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Because of my pregnancy situation Dr. Herlivich picked a day to cut out my stitches and told me to plan on delivering that same day. So the day was finally chosen and the doc met up with us at the hospital. He took out the stitches at 8:00 a.m. and said unless he heard from us earlier, he would be in at noon to break my water. After he took out the first stitch he said I instantly went to a 2, and after the second stitch was removed, I went to a 2.5. I started feeling some painless contractions, I just felt a lot of tightening. The doc said if I wanted an epidural that I should get it before I went into labor, otherwise I wouldn't have the chance to get one. So we had the anesthiologist come in and I had the epidural in place and my water broke on its own at 11:42 and I went right into labor. The nurses were worried about who was going to deliver my baby because the doc also had a scheduled c-section at noon. I kept feeling a lot of pressure and they finally got the doc to come in and well, we got a baby! It took 2 pushes and he was here at 12:22. My last picture of the baby and I all squished together. I am glad that is over! Not that I felt too squished, it was the head in place and the stitches keeping me from dialating that was well worthy of a daily complaint! And this is Camden's first picture! He weighed 7lbs 7 oz and was 19 inches long. His head was so big that the front and back plates of his skull had a lot of overlapping. The proud and excited new daddy! Our first new family pictureAll ready to go home!Just 2 days old, I love these pictures of him all curled up, it makes it look possible for him to be in my belly. Here is Camden at 5 days old. When he was first born he looked a little like Hayden and his dad. But then he lost some chub and his swelling and and we see a little more of Dusty. I still see Hayden through his forehead and the bridge of his nose. I think he is adorable and he gets cuter and cuter every day!

He is my hairiest kidI am so in love with this little boy. I have been so busy taking in all the cuddles, he is a good snuggler. I hold him all I can and hate to have to put him down. We have enjoyed him so much and are glad he joined us, he fits us perfectly. He has been my easiest baby by far! The first 2 nights were a little rough, but since then it has been easy, he goes 4-5 hours between feedings, I feel so spoiled with the sleep I get. Once in awhile he'll wake up to kick and look around and he wants company, but I love the extra time that I get with him during the night. We are so lucky and feel so blessed to have Camden in our family. Love you Camden J.!

Here I am at home, I thought I would be at the hospital cuddling a new baby. But because of scheduling conflicts at the hospital, the baby isn't coming today, unless he comes on his own timing, which part of me hopes that he does! But the other part of me thinks it's best that he waits for a few days so that I don't have my stitches tear through. So I thought today would be a great day to relax and do almost nothing. Kyrie and I have been watching The Little Mermaid over and over while the boys have been at school. I love having them back at school, it has been a good change, and it is so nice the boys are both full day. We did 1/2 days with Hayden for 4 years, and those half days were hard. I am used to this already and I love it. This week has been quiet and my house stays clean longer. Dusty loves being back in class and Hayden says he likes it except for how long it is. He comes home tired and ornery, but I know it will take just a little time for him to adjust, or maybe a nap for him after school would be nice too! It's hard for me to believe I have a child in 3rd grade! I took a few pictures of their first day and it was so bright outside that they didn't turn out very well, so I tried editing some of them and I'm not too good at that.

Dusty got put in the same class as one of his best buds Joshua. They were best friends in kindergarten, but haven't been in the same class since until this year.Kyrie couldn't be left out, she had to get her backpack all ready to walk her brothers to their first day of school. For family home evening last week we made tie-dye shirts. I didn't realize what a mess it would make. We are waiting for the baby to come and we'll get a picture of us all wearing them!

Just before school started we had a couple more family outings. One of them was going back to the reservoir. It was the perfect day to go, there was hardly anybody there. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to relax! I love the time I have been able to spend with my kids and Chris this summer, but I am gladly saying good-bye to summer and the heat this year. I am so ready and excited for the fall festivities and weather!
