everything pink

Kyrie LOVES anything and everything pink. And if it isn't pink, she imagines that it is. In the evenings we can hear the train from our house, and she says she can hear the "pink choo choo train". My eyes are pink, her teeth are pink, she needs a pink car just for her. Her playdough has to be pink, she has to use a pink spoon, bowl, plate, cup...and Dusty's strawberry brithday cake was really hers because it was pink. She says she needs a "pink happy dirday". I think I could go on and on! So this morning I pull out a brand new PINK chapstick, put it on my nightstand and while I'm changing the baby's diaper, I see her run off with it with a smile on her face, of course, because it is PINK. I head downstairs, ready to go do some shopping and notice Strawberry Shortcake on the tv and Kyrie has her head down covering her eyes with her hands. I notice her hair looks wet - and asks if she's ready to go. I take a closer look, and notice her hair really looks greasy and I see a couple of pink chunks and she smells yummy - like bubblegum chapstick. She had smeared that whole new tube of chapstick into her hair! I asked her why she did it, and avoiding eye contact she said, "bequase my hair needed to be like pink". Of course it did! So I threw her hair into knot ponytails and we went shopping. She hasn't looked into the mirror yet, I don't want to disapoint - she does not have colorful hair like her Strawberry Shortcake friends.
AND on the way home from shopping she told me she wants to be a HELLO KITTY! What a girl!

girlfriends

We had a great weekend, we got to go to the park, and Grandpa came!
And Kyrie found Camden a couple of girlfriendsI pulled the swing out this last weekend, we haven't really needed to use it - there is always a pair of arms wanting to hold our new little boy. But I thought I'd better get him using it a little, because there will come a time that I will have to unwantingly put him down. The last few days Kyrie hasn't been able to leave the baby or the swing alone. There is always a baby (usually a pink one) enjoying the motion of the swing.

Camden

Camden will be 1 month old tomorrow. He is so sweet and happy...and I love him to pieces.

I finally captured it! I love Camden's puckered lips and crossed eyes! I guess I love every expression he has, he is so stinkin cute! This expression is a common one, and he almost always has his forehead wrinkled up. I love this boy! Looking at his pictures makes me miss him - I want to run and pick him up, cuddle and kiss his neck.
Seriously, he is so cute and so much fun that my other baby wants a baby - one of her own! She already is excited to be a momma. She talks about how she wants to have a baby sister come out of her belly. She talks about how she wants to love her baby and she wants to burp her new baby that is going to come out of her belly. She is going to be a great momma someday! And don't mind the food in my teeth, Camden didn't notice, he was looking up my nose. I can't get him to take a binki - he gags on them, but he likes to suck on my chin!

Birthday Party Weekend

It's OVER! What a weekend! We had plans to take the kids minature golfing Friday night, but Chris was stuck in Oklahoma waiting for his airplane and didn't get home in time. Since golfing was our plan for the night, I didn't have anything else planned and the kids were left to entertain themselves and the house sounded like I had a dozen extra kids - finally at midnight I had to get a little mean for them to shut up long enough to fall asleep. We were still able to go golfing, we just kept the friends for a few extra hours on Saturday. This picture was taken after we were done and Kyrie was crying because her pink ball was gone

Sunday was Dusty's birthday and he spent most of the day playing with his new race track. He also got a tin can robot, and some torpedos, and $ from Gma/Gpa Anderson. It's hard to believe he is now 9 years old!He asked for skillet nachos for dinner and strawberry cake.Monday was Hayden's birthday and he turned 7! He got a RC helicopter, binoculars, transformers and dive sticks and also $ from the Anderson grandparents. He wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese for dinner and he wanted chocolate cake - his favorites along with mush for breakfast.Hayden spent most of his day in anticipation of the big kiss. I had been telling him for a few days that he had to have a kiss on his birthday. Hugging and kissing Hayden is no easy task, he squirms from even the thought of it, and runs the other direction. He is my child that does not like the physical affection, and does not want to be tucked in bed - especially if it's from his mom. Dusty on the other hand, has to be tucked in, loves his hugs and kisses and will still kiss me on the lips. At his sleepover, the boys headed upstairs to watch a movie before bed and I thought I was doing good by staying dowstairs and letting them just be. But Dusty came down wanting to know if I wanted to watch the movie with them - I am daydreaming of him doing the same thing 7 years into the future - a teenager hanging out with friends inviting his mom to join them! It's a nice dream! Anyway, back to the picture, Hayden got his dreaded birthday kiss. Dusty told him that next year Hayden would have to get 8 kisses, because he got 8 when he turned 8 - see - he remembers my kisses (and at least HE like them).

Today

Today something really bad happened. At least that is what Hayden said. He got up this morning and told me that something really bad happened in our backyard. This is what happened - Dusty said, "don't worry about it - it's almost Halloween". And today Kyrie told her baby brother, "I love your tiny eyebries (eyebrows)".

SO EXCITED!!!

"You are invited to my birthday""There is a sleepover... To: Joshua..Where: My house..When: Friday 16th..Time: 4:30 Friday pm to 10:00 Saturday am.. See you there"(Pic of Dusty and Joshua golfing)...YEP the boys are having their very first sleepover at our house and they are SO excited! They both have birthdays in a few days and I told them they could both invite one friend to go miniature golfing and spend the night. They both made their own invitations and I thought that Dusty's was so cute. Hayden's was very cute too, and I should've taken a picture of it as well. He didn't finish it, he hates to write so he just drew a picture. When he was at school I wrote the info on the invitation and then I met the boys at school after class. I gave the invite to Hayden to give to his friend and I explained the pic to his friend and his friends mom, telling them it was a picture of Hayden and his buddy golfing, and Hayden said "NO IT'S NOT! It's just a picture of a turtle and an ice cream cone". OOPS! Anyway the boys are beyond excited for this weekend! In fact they are so excited, it must really be a reason to celebrate - they both decided to FINALLY wear some of their new school clothes, yes they have been back in school for over a month now and neither one of them have worn any of their new clothes - until today! It's impossible for me to get even 3 kids to look at the camera and smile, now the fun starts with 4!
