Happy to you!

It is so hard to imagine that our little girl is 2! What a great 2 years for our family. We have all thoroughly enjoyed Kyrie and are so glad she is in our family. I have felt bad for her having her birthday the day after Christmas, but maybe I shouldn't. Some kids in Hayden's class would ask how old she is and I would tell them she would be two the day after Christmas, and they would respond with things like, "She's so lucky, no fair!". I just hope she feels the same way when she gets older. We told her about her birthday about a week earlier and she told us all week long, "happy to you".
She woke up from her nap to find Kim and Aj at our house and she was so concerned about them being there that she didn't notice her presents in the corner for awhile. But as soon as she saw them she ran and hopped on her new trike.

She loves her presents, especially her princess from Kim and Aj.

Some things about Kyrie: She thinks she can do anything her big brothers do and follows them around everywhere. She loves, loves her babies and is so cute with them, she rocks them and sings to them. She loves to sing and she has the sweetest softest voice, I love to hear her sing. She sings "ABCDABCDABCD - ME". She has 2 big brothers named "Hen", we try to tell her that one of them is Dusty but she thinks differently. Sometimes she calls me "baby mama" and she rubs my back and softly strokes my face - she is the sweetest. She loves to do homework, which is any kind of drawing or coloring. She draws pictures and tells us what each picture is. She loves backpacks, I think she can't wait to go to school! She will do any little favor like throw something in the garbage can, or pull my hair out of my face and instantly say "welcome". She is a great talker, can say several sentences in a row and says almost everything correctly (except for some names). She is so concerned about others and is so loving. She LOVES her friends and talks about them all the time. She is always talking about Briley, Delaney and BAby Logy (Loganne). She makes sure she says her prayers every night, I've tried just sticking her in bed a few times and she doesn't want to go down without her prayer. If you ask, "should we go say your prayers?" she'll say, "pray baby logy, eAney come over". When she is hungry she asks for her "cereal lunch". And I love the way she grabs my face with her two little hands and turns my face right towards hers when she has something to tell me. She wakes up so happy and stays that way most of the day. She is such a joy to have - I am so lucky she is mine! I am so blessed and happy to be her mom. Happy to you Kyrie!

Santa found us!

I'm pretty sure Santa loaded up this triple trailer semi to deliver our presents this year!

After 3 years, Santa finally listened, Dusty really, really wanted a globe.

Finally, her very own pillow pet. She has taken over Dusty's the last couple of weeks, she couldn't seem to even nap without it.

Dusty's first real gun, just like in the Christmas Story. He also got these pj's on Christmas Eve that say, "I only Go FAST" So true for him.

Kyrie got everything she wanted and didn't know she wanted. She loves to crawl into tiny little spaces, and now she has her own little hide-out tent. Maybe now I will know where to look when she is missing! She loves Dora and is always singing "backpack, backpack, ayeah" and she says "I want my backpack" when we take the boys to school, so what could be better that a Dora backpack? She is so happy with her pillow-pet, babies, stroller, bed and accessories. Grandma and Grandpa A gave her baby blankets and a cute handbag full of essentials so now she can take care of her babies. She got a couple of different aquadoodles and puppets from her cousin and Salvesen grandparents. She has turned into a little monster since Christmas. She has found it is so hard to take care of so many babies. This little momma is stressing out. She wraps them up, adjusts them, feeds them, sings to them, rocks them adjusts them again, and throws them down on the floor while she cries and screams. Then she picks them up, wraps them up and brings them to Chris or I to hold. It seems that we are always holding her babies, she wants us to take care of them. She is so worried about them and we have to assure her that they are okay.

Hayden's lump of coal. He just giggled and said, "No, it's candy!"

Hayden had an exciting Christmas Eve, he was waiting for both Santa and the toothfairy! For Christmas, Hayden got a batcave, books, a marshmallow gun, a nerf gun, a pillow pet and an outfit. He got legos from Gma, Gpa A, a RC monster truck from the cousin exchange and a hotwheels toy from the Salvesens.

Dusty Boy got his BB gun, a marshmallow gun, a globe, marble run, a moon lamp, books and an outfit. He got a lego set from the A's, a science kit from the Salvesen's and bey-blades from a cousin.

The kids got this playhouse they can put together and color and we got the gumball machine and air hockey table as a family gift. Chris got pj's a watch, an emergency radio, movies and a gift card to Bass Pro Shops. And I got pj's, a high performance memory card and a tripod.

We had a great Christmas! We relaxed and played and enjoyed being together. We are so lucky and are so blessed. We had a great Christmas season this year and enjoyed it all we could.

Art proudly displayed

I was in the tub and I heard "KYRIE, Hayden go tell Mom!" and then Ky came to show me the red marker on her hand, which wouldn't wash off. I don't know why we even own markers that aren't washable. Luckily these microfiber couches that show EVERYTHING also clean up very well! Here is the same little girl, different day, different marker, different canvas.

Maybe he is the one who leaves the markers out, just an idea.

Gingerbread

We are definately ready for Christmas this year. We have done a lot of fun things to bring in the cheer! Our latest is this gingerbread house, that is the perfect size for our guest, the mouse. (Nevermind about the last part, the mouse went after the peanut butter on the trap instead).

Whew! We are glad that the gingerbread house is done, we have so much more celebrating to do we're always on the run.

I woke up the next morning to find the little house cozy, Dusty found a way to make the chimney a little bit smokey.

Disney On Ice

This year we were really lucky to be able to go to Disney On Ice (thanks Chels) and on our way in we saw this really cute old fashioned Santa.
Don't the kids look excited to be there?

We had a great time with Mikkie and Minnie Mouse and all of their friends!

fun holidays

We were getting ready to leave for the ward Christmas party and Ky put her headband on and said "cute".
She might have been talking about her headband, it is cute, but I think she is the cutest. I wish I was as cute as her!

The kids wanted me to wait in line for them so they could see Santa. I wonder how many hours I have spent this year waiting in line for them to get a candy cane - I think too many!

When we got home from the party my babies cuddled up to watch another Christmas movie.
My 10 1/2 year old laundry baskets are about ready to retire, but the kids keep making sure they get put to use. I have pictures of Dusty playing in these same baskets when he was about 10 months old!

Hayden jumped out of his cradle or whatever it is and Kyrie instantly jumped right in and took his spot!
