A couple of weeks ago I decided to interview my 3 oldest kids for Family Home Evening like my mom used to do her kids were little. Here is how it went:

want to be when grown up: The doctor told me I am big. A princess barbie carm school and I want to wear gloves on my arms and on my hands

I was greatful the derby project didn't take place in my kitchen this year! It looks like it wouldn't have mattered much though, I think Chris is wearing most of the sawdust. Chris spent a lot of time with Dusty carving the block into a truck. Between all he has had going on and SEVEN weeks in a row that he has traveled for work, and being away from home, I was greatful he made time to spend with Dusty Boy.
Dusty said that next year he is making his on his own since Hayden will be making one too, and will need Chris's help. Dusty has really been so independent and grown up lately, and he is such a great big brother always caring for his siblings. 
Joni and her family were here in Colorado for a few days again and came to spend a little time with us while they were here. I had cleaned out the boys bathroom for them and then later saw that Dusty had gone in there and set up some hotel shampoo, conditioner, and lotion for them. He makes me laugh!
Kyrie and Avery loved riding in the wagon together, and it was great having Gavin pull the wagon for a good chunk of the time.

It was a beautiful sunny day, sometimes too bright to look up at the camera, and we got our first sun burn of the year! We had a great time! The kids loved having their cousins here!
One of the first things we did was drive into Blanding to spend a little time with Grandma and Grandpa Palmer. We were excited to see them and let them meet our little guy. Camden liked Grandpa a lot, I wish I had the camera out and ready when they first met. Camden was so smiley and happy.
He also really, really liked Grandma's little doll. Kyrie was playing with her and Camden would dive his whole body towards her and reach out his arms to try to get her and giggled and giggled. It was so funny. 
This is about the best picture I could get of my adorable kids and my adorable grandparents. There just wasn't much cooperation! It was so good to visit for awhile, and we also were greatful to have Aunt Kim, Uncle Clayton, Uncle Tom, Aunt Karie, Kacie, Uncle Wayne and Cameron stop by. It was fun to see those that we did, and were greatful for the patience on behalf of my bouncy children. 
I'm not sure what is the kids favorite, staying at a hotel, eating continental breakfast at the hotel or swimming at the hotel. They love it all.
Hayden got in the pool and cried. He spent 6 weeks of the summer last year going to swimming lessons and once he got in the pool he realized he forgot everything that he had learned and really felt bad for himself. Within a matter of minutes Chris was playing with the kids and had him going after his diving sticks at the bottom of the pool. He much much happpier once he realized he could still do some of the things he had learned. He loves swimming and he is really excited to get back into lessons. 
Camdens first time in a pool. I had him on my lap at first and tried to get him to kick in the water, then I tried putting him into the baby float, and he just wasn't very happy at all, not until I held him in my arms against my chest where he could snuggle and hold onto me close and tight. I enjoyed getting a good snuggle out of it all!

Dusty is in the process of getting braces, and the orthodontist he is going to has a program where you can earn BRO bucks that you can redeem for gift cards and prizes. One of the ways to get a BRO buck is to take a picture wearing your brace yourself t-shirt while on vacation. Dusty made sure to pack his shirt and we looked around for the prime location to take a picture. On our way to Blanding there was a beautiful "Welcome to Utah" sign that would have been perfect, Dusty loves UT, but we didn't have the shirt with us. But while driving through town, we saw this limoseum, which became the prime spot for a photo - Dusty LOVES cars!!!

We had a great time! We didn't really do much but it was fun to get away and spend some time together. 
It's been a couple of weeks, but the kids enjoyed a snow day. I love it when that happens!
