Dusty was right!

So I had an ultrasound this morning and we're having a little girl!! We are so excited! We don't know what to do with a girl, and I think Chris may be in a little shock. He's always talked of having all boys - but if you could see him with little girls, I think you'd see there's not much to worry about. But he was sure we'd have another boy, and Hayden also, he really wanted a little 'bruvder'. But Dusty on the other hand would say, "I know it's going to be a girl, and I KNOW I'm gonna be right!" And so he was! I've already finished painting the nursery, and about 3 months ago I purchased a boy crib set, and a girl crib set, both which matched the paint. Now I guess I'll be returning the boy set and spend that money on some little girl things. Chris knows I'm headed down town today and is afraid I'm going to break the bank. So it looks like we're going to have to get used to having some pink in our house!

What a sad day!

One of our neighbor buddies was killed this morning while he was riding his motorcycle. I haven't heard any of the details of what happened. I've been over to see his wife, who is left with 3 little kids, one 4 year old, and newborn twins. I just cannot believe what she is left to deal with, although now she is holding up strong. I know there will be times that it will hit her like a brick wall. But it doesn't hit just once - it hits you over and over again! Thank goodness for family members and friends that will be there to help. Everyday tasks will become so much harder for her. Even grocery shopping - how do you fit 2 carseats in a shopping cart and have room for groceries? I'm sure things like that are the least of her worries right now as she has so much to deal with. I feel the need to be here for her. I consider her as a friend - I am also her visiting teacher, and her sons primary teacher, and Chris has been their home teacher. I want so much to help her in any way that I can, and I know that she will need help for weeks to come, so I hope that she doesn't get sick of me. Like I said, I don't know the cause of this accident, but to anyone that comes across a motorcycle, please be extra cautious and respectful, whether you're in a vehicle or on the bike (Braden!). Well we had a lot of plans for this weekend, and so to everyone we had plans with, don't be surprised if we're not there. Depending on when the funeral is, we might not make it as we feel the need to be here.

We love the mountains

We love to go up to the mountains!! We are so lucky to be so close to the mountains, and being in the basin, we have several to chose from. We go several times every year to enjoy a little ride, roast hot dogs, and take a little hike. I always think the mountains are pretty, but this day was especially pretty!

4th of July

We decided to go to Blanding for the 4th of July this year, since we are unsure if we'll have the opportunity to go another year. We enjoyed the parade, carnival, fireworks, food and family (we got to meet new baby Taylor!) The kids had fun just running around. We went to the family ranch and the kids loved riding Uncle Clayton's horse. We had plans that night to pitch our tent and stay the night, but just as Chris started pulling out the tent, he was informed of a bear in the area. So he headed over to where it was and saw it for himself. Although it was exciting for some to see the bear, it did change our plans for the night! We had a promise to keep, so when we got home we set the tent up in our yard for the little boys. Here are some pictures of the weekend.

Tagged!

1. I spent a lot of time playing with Barbara, Cassi, and Kerilyn.
2. I was 8 and had no idea how fast time would fly.
3. I loved to ride the 2 miles to school on my bike. I rode with friends, siblings, and I even loved to ride by myself.

1.
I was getting ready for my Senior year of High School to begin.
2. I was working at Subway and trying to save as much money as I could. (I worked there for 4 years!)
3. I was looking forward to purchasing my first car - paid in cash!

1. My baby Dusty was almost one, although he seemed to be a big boy to me.
2. We moved into a tiny little 1 bedroom house that was just down the road from my parents. I remember pulling Dusty in the wagon to my parents and nobody was home. So we stole a few tomatoes out of their garden and Dusty ate them like they were apples on the ride home.
3. Chris got a new job, working for Schlumberger in Evanston, Wyoming. We moved again, and then 6 months later transfered to Vernal. We love it here.

1.
Chris was gone for 7 weeks for more training, leaving me and the boys alone for the jail inmates to stare at us as they did yard work across the street at the nurisng home. Actually I think a couple of them were staring at our bicycles in the carport.
2. You should have seen my little chunky Hayden. He was just over 9 months old. At 6 months, he weighed 24 lbs!! People would just laugh when they saw him. His cheeks were so big that his eyes would disappear when he smiled. But he was oh so cute - and such a sweeetie!
3. Chris was never home, so I got a year long gym membership and went almost everyday for an hour. They had a daycare there that I took the kids to so I could get a break from them. I loved that hour!

1. I spent too much time painting the outside of our house. But I got it done!
2. I had half of my thyroid removed, leaving a nice scar at the base of my neck. (my Dr. would like to cut the scar out and try again.)
3. We had a fun Family Reunion at my Dad's buddies cabin at Bear Lake.

SO FAR THIS YEAR...
1. I have done very few projects on our house. I need a break!
2. I sent a child on the school bus for the first time - my 3 year old!! That was really hard to do. We got him into a school for speech therapy.
3. We've had a lot of new things: Kindergarten round-up, youth soccer, and T-ball to name a few. My kids are growing up!

YESTERDAY I...
1. Took the boys to story time at the library, then to free school lunch.
2. Rode over to Roosevelt with Chris to take a machine part to his cousin.
3. Got to bed much later than I wanted. My pregnant body wants more sleep!

TODAY I...
1. Did some cleaning and laundry.
2. Talked on the phone.
3. Was just told by my oldest that he's hungry, noticed it's about dinner time, and I have no idea what to make!

TOMORROW I...
1. Will water the lawn and garden.
2. Will do whatever I want.
3. ? We'll have to wait and see.

IN THE NEXT YEAR I...
1. Will possibly be living somewhere else, but who knows where, we'll see where the job takes us.

2. Will have a little baby to play with.
3. Will have some time to myself while the boys are in school!!! At least for a few months until this baby comes.

TAG... Whoever would like to do this!

8 Years!

Today is mine and Chris's wedding anniversary of 8 years! I just want to tell Chris how much I appreciate and love him. We has been a wonderful husband to me and an awesome father to our boys. He has really stepped up and helped when I've needed it the most. He has worked so hard to provide for our family which allows me to stay home with the kids. I am so proud of him for what he has done and accomplished. We have had our share of struggles, but we have gotten past them and learned and grown from them. We are now going strong and looking forward to many more adventures together. Me and the boys were able to go with him to Denver last week and we enjoyed our time together. He was there for work, but we also had time to relax and play. We considered it is being a "vacation" and counted it as our anniversary celebration. So, Happy Anniversary Babe! Thanks for all you do - I love you!

Some News

So here it is, we're having another baby! YEA! We tried a couple of years ago, but that one didn't last long, and then after a string of events, I just felt that I couldn't do it. Well, we've thought about it for quite some time and decided that we are ready again. We don't know whether we are having pink or blue yet, but either way we're very excited! We just started telling people (although our little Hayden already had it all figured out). I'm about 12 weeks along and due January 1st. Chris is determined to get the New Years Baby, but I really doubt we'll make it that far, in fact we'll be lucky if we make it to December. I've been working on the nursery already because it's questionable if I will be able to later on. We've thought up some names - for a boy, Cody William Scott. This one was easy. We had Cody picked out 4 years ago along with Hayden, but we couldn't decide. So if the baby came out looking like Dusty, he would be named Cody, and if he didn't look like Dusty, we'd name him Hayden Christopher. And out he came looking like CHRIS! So Hayden Christopher became his name. But ever since then Cody has been real to me, so if we have a boy, he will be Cody William Scott(William after my Gpa Palmer). And for a girl, we are pretty stuck on Kyrie Belle Scott (Belle after Chris's Gma Lula Belle Scott - whom we adore!). The only thing is I hope this doesn't cause much conflict. I'll just say that I found out that a cousin of mine is having a girl and is due a few months before me. I guess she has a name picked out, but is not telling what it is. But when our names were told, we learned that her name is VERY similar to our girl name. I talked to Chris about it, and even though she will have her baby first, we are going to keep that name. I don't know if she'll care or not. We thought of the possibility of changing the first name, the only other name we have considered is Josie, but we're not planning on changing. We are pretty stuck on Kyrie Belle if we have a girl. I know that baby names can become sensitive to some people, so I hope we don't cause any problems. I just don't want it to appear that we stole or copied her name. But anyway, we are looking forward to having either our Cody, or Kyrie!
