bison stampede

The boys school had a bison stampede - a fundraiser for the school. I pledged 50 cents per lap. The course had inclines, declines, curves and a sharp corner, and 8 laps was equal to 1 mile. My boys ran and ran, and never gave up for the whole 40 minutes. Dusty ran a total of 24 laps, exactly 3 miles and Hayden ran a total of 16 laps, a total of 2 miles! Chris and I were so proud of them!

snow day

I love it when school gets cancelled! The kids all get to be home, and Kyrie has someone to play with!

mommy

Kyrie keeps talking about how she wants to be a mommy and hold her baby and be the mommy of her own house. She's got the right idea, it is the greatest job in the world!

Today Kyrie said, "Baby Camden, look at me, (as she squeezed his cheecks to turn his face toward her direction) I want you to be happy and talk".

Beware!

Beware of Halloween!I not sure why we spent money on a costume when Dusty is so good with creating his own!......

.................and BEWARE!!!!................

of little 2 year old girls trying to sneak bras into the shopping cart. While shopping at my most favorite store, gordmans, Kyrie tried to do a little shopping of her own. I told her we were not buying it and to put it back. And she asked, "Why Mom? Are my boobs too little?" And I said, "Yes they are, honey YOU are too little". She put her two little hands over her eyes and gave me a fake little cry. Why? Why can't she just stay little? She is so excited to grow up. I can't stand the thought of it!

my buddy and me

Camden is now 8 weeks old and is getting a little chub going on. It makes me sad that he has to grow so fast, the only thing that helps make up for it is the cute things he is starting to do. He is starting to tell me a few secrets and he smiles lots. I haven't been able to catch a smile on the camera yet, but I'm sure I'll get one soon. He loves to cuddle, he loves having his cheek next to mine. He wants to be my helper with everything I do, he thinks he needs to be in my arms while I cook, clean, computerize, do laundry, pretty much everything. He wants to join me whenever I will let him, if he can't help, he cries. So I pretty much get nothing accomplished - everyday except the basic necessities. I am greatful he is trying to be so helpful. I'm trying to accept my house being a little messier and cluttered and it has been hard to do! We are lucky if the two of us are dressed before 11:00. Thankfully Kyrie loves to dress herself or most days it wouldn't get done! I have been trying to run on the treadmill 5 times a week and I lay Camden where he can see me and he runs with me too! Besides the running, it seems nothing else gets done. But for now that's just the way it is, and I love that the reason is I have a little buddy. I'm so lucky that I get to spend my days on my buddy and me!and my buddy is adorable!
