tomorrow

Tomorrow I am becoming a grandma! Kyrie and I have had several talks about her being a mommy. She wants to have a baby in her belly button. I have told her that she needs to be big like me and get married, then she can have a baby. All she could talk about tonight is how she is going to be married and be a mommy and have a baby in her belly button and have a small house - tomorrow. Not only that but she is also going to paint her fingernails and her finger-toes all by herself. We are going to have a busy day! I think she really would be content to have this all happen overnight, she wants to be a mommy more than anything. I didn't tell her that she can't get married when she is 3, but at least she is planning on getting married before getting that baby in her belly button.

We ran away

Chris needed to go to Farmington, New Mexico to do some work there and the kids and I decided to run away. It's been awhile since he have gone anywhere and it was nice to have a little road trip.
One of the first things we did was drive into Blanding to spend a little time with Grandma and Grandpa Palmer. We were excited to see them and let them meet our little guy. Camden liked Grandpa a lot, I wish I had the camera out and ready when they first met. Camden was so smiley and happy.
He also really, really liked Grandma's little doll. Kyrie was playing with her and Camden would dive his whole body towards her and reach out his arms to try to get her and giggled and giggled. It was so funny. This is about the best picture I could get of my adorable kids and my adorable grandparents. There just wasn't much cooperation! It was so good to visit for awhile, and we also were greatful to have Aunt Kim, Uncle Clayton, Uncle Tom, Aunt Karie, Kacie, Uncle Wayne and Cameron stop by. It was fun to see those that we did, and were greatful for the patience on behalf of my bouncy children. I'm not sure what is the kids favorite, staying at a hotel, eating continental breakfast at the hotel or swimming at the hotel. They love it all.

While we were packing to go with Chris, I told Kyrie that we would need our swimming suits to go swimming at the hotel. She started telling me, like she was either trying to comfort me or herself, "there will be no dolphin tales, or sharks or "crocagiles" or whales". She continued to tell me everytime we talked about going swimming.Hayden got in the pool and cried. He spent 6 weeks of the summer last year going to swimming lessons and once he got in the pool he realized he forgot everything that he had learned and really felt bad for himself. Within a matter of minutes Chris was playing with the kids and had him going after his diving sticks at the bottom of the pool. He much much happpier once he realized he could still do some of the things he had learned. He loves swimming and he is really excited to get back into lessons. Camdens first time in a pool. I had him on my lap at first and tried to get him to kick in the water, then I tried putting him into the baby float, and he just wasn't very happy at all, not until I held him in my arms against my chest where he could snuggle and hold onto me close and tight. I enjoyed getting a good snuggle out of it all!
Kyrie was scared of the grandpa at KFCDusty is in the process of getting braces, and the orthodontist he is going to has a program where you can earn BRO bucks that you can redeem for gift cards and prizes. One of the ways to get a BRO buck is to take a picture wearing your brace yourself t-shirt while on vacation. Dusty made sure to pack his shirt and we looked around for the prime location to take a picture. On our way to Blanding there was a beautiful "Welcome to Utah" sign that would have been perfect, Dusty loves UT, but we didn't have the shirt with us. But while driving through town, we saw this limoseum, which became the prime spot for a photo - Dusty LOVES cars!!! trying on the swimming goggles, I think it's funny how they squish and pull on your face in funny ways. We always have to end our hotel stay with a ride on the luggage cart.

While we were away from home, we missed out on our normal Valentine celebration. But we still found a few ways to not forget the holiday of love.

Dusty started on this Valentine book right after Christmas. It's his thickest one he has made so far.
We had a great time! We didn't really do much but it was fun to get away and spend some time together.

snow

It's been a couple of weeks, but the kids enjoyed a snow day. I love it when that happens!

a happy heart

Last night I was reading the kids a story out of the Friend magazine just before bed. Hayden had to interrupt the story to tell me, "Mom, when I watch those church movies I feel Heavenly Father and I feel good and happy in my heart". It was so good to hear that from him!

I love little piggies!

I especially love these little ones!Camden loves putting his pointer fingers into his mouth.
That's right - he is the center of attention. Babies have a way of doing that!Camden is such a happy little guy - well, most of the time. He is such a joy in our lives. I hear Hayden everyday talk about how Camden is the cutest and funnest baby he has ever seen. We all adore him here at our house. He is now rolling all over the place, puts everything into his mouth, and spends a good chunck of the day playing with his toes. I love to watch him play with his feet.
We have been trying to get him on a little food, which he isn't so interested in, unless it is ice cream! He had a little taste and wanted more and just couldn't seem to get enough. Maybe I should've skipped trying to get him to eat rice cereal, sweet potatoes and pears. It seems I was wasting my time, we should have started with the ice cream!

nightmares

Kyrie has been having bad dreams. Last night she screamed and screamed, "NOOOOOOO" I rubbed her back and told her "it's okay". Then she cried, "Mom, Hayden broke my crown". It's funny to see what her nightmares are about!!!
