Ready to play soccer!

I am now a true "soccer mom"!! Dusty has been so excited to play soccer. Although he's not quite sure what it is all about. We had to keep telling him to watch the ball, because he was always watching everything and everyone else. He has a good coach, but it looks as if we might need to give him a little more instruction and practice here at home. Today was his first game, and he thought it was pretty fun. I'm sure that he will know more what to do next game. I don't know what the score was, but his team, The Golden Knights won. We are so proud of him and love to watch all of the kids play. Chris and I are thinking about maybe being team coaches next year. We'll see. At this age it's all about the fun!

Getting some instruction from Coach Bryan.

We miss you!

Happy Birthday Tina!!! Here is a picture of my little Sis, this is one of my favorites (she has a lot of good pictures). Yesterday was her birthday, and I just want to wish her a happy one. Yesterday would make her 22 years old! We all love and miss you so much Tina!

Easter Weekend 2008

Here are some of the cousins gettting ready for the Easter Egg hunt at the Grandparents house.

Dusty

Hayden

We had a really fun Easter. We started with an egg hunt at the Garland City Park, put on by the firefighters. We then headed back to the grandparents house to color Easter eggs. After lunch Grandma had her own egg hunt for the kids. The kids loved being outside! It has been such a long winter, and I'd say this day was the first my kids have been to play outside without all of their snow gear. The kids enjoyed the rest of the day together. We woke up the next morning to find the Easter bunny had forgot to come! So Grandma came to the rescue and sneaked the goods and the baskets into her room and got it taken care of. That afternoon at 1:00 we had our Easter dinner (which was really yummy). Then at 5:30 we got to go the other grandparents for another dinner (which was also yummy). The kids got to go on another egg hunt and enjoyed rolling down the hills in Grandpa's and Grandma's new yard. And we had the fun of Troy proposing to his girlfriend, Chelsea (she said YES!).

FHE

Little kids are just too cute! We just got done with Family Home Evening. With Easter coming up, we decided to teach about the meaning of Easter and we watched the movie He Is Risen. After the movie, Hayden said "Mom, da udder one Jesus have magic". I asked "He has magic?" And he said "To move from the rock and to fly". I can see why he would think Jesus is MAGIC. I thought it was cute.

My Big Helper

Yesterday I was downstairs and I could hear the water running from the kitchen sink. I just kinda wondered what was going on upstairs, but I was to involved in something to go check it out. After a few minutes I could hear silverware noises and I wondered if Dusty was up there doing dishes. AND HE WAS! What a good boy I have. He said that he got all of the dishes clean except for one. As I was checking it out, the one was a blue plastic plate with a tomato stain and he had tried getting the stain off. We have some really clean dishes, he used about 1/3 of the bottle of dish soap. I know this because I put out a new bottle just the day before. I am so greatful for him. Just little things like this mean so much to me. Dusty has always been so considerate of me. He is so sweet and I've always thought that he is going to have one lucky wife someday, lucky to have someone as great as him. He is such a big helper. He makes his bed every day, he picks up all of his toys, he loves to set the table and help me cook and clean the house. He helps me with the laundry, he loves to load the washer and dryer and fold the clothes and put them away. He helps me outside with the yard work and this winter he spent a lot of time shoveling snow. And now we can add dishes to the list. This little guy makes me so happy. He is such a good example to us and he is a wonderful son and big brother. He has such a tender heart and loves to hold me and load me up with kisses. I am so greatful for both of my kids. I just love how the smallest things can bring such joy!

Jordan World Circus

THE CIRCUS!!!

The Jordan World Circus came to town, in fact it comes every year to Vernal, Utah. We have never tried to go before and decided to see what it is all about this year. It was pretty entertaining. Our fun consisted of cotton candy, the petting zoo, and of course the performance. We were feeding the animals and a Llama decided to have a tug-o-war with me and the paper cup I was holding. I won, but he did get a big piece of the paper cup and he ate it! We loved watching the trapeze artists and were impressed with the elephant that stood on his head.

Bus Ride

BUS RIDE!!! SO here is Hayden on a school bus for the very first time. Yes, he gets to ride a bus to preschool now. It seems so weird to me. I had a VERY difficult time with it at first. It was so hard to come to terms with sending my baby, a three year old onto a full sized school bus. At first I was against it, but the pre-school staff has been very assuring and talked me into it. They said the other kids love the bus ride more than the preschool, and those that don't get to ride feel really bad about it. I'm now okay with it. Hayden has been okay with the idea all along, in fact he has been very excited! He thinks that he is one lucky boy. As you can tell by his face, he was more than happy to get on the bus today!

This is Hayden getting off of the bus. He was so excited to tell me, "I got to ride two bus!"
