New pictures!

I went and got the kids individual pictures and a group picture taken. Then Chris decided we should get family pictures, and we got a couple more of Kyrie. When I went to pick up the kids pictures, the background was slightly pink. So the studio reordered them but let me keep the first set too! They actually look fine, except for the 8x10's. So now we have double pics, and enough for our hand-out list to get one of about everything, (so that's why you'll be getting lots in the mail!) Anyway, here are some of the favorites!

We couldn't be happier!
Mom finally got a girl!
Kyrie in her dress made by her Great-Grandma Palmer. We are going to use it as her blessing dress. Thank you Grandma, we absolutely adore this little dress!
The 3 kiddos
Another family picture. This one is actually my favorite, the header picture is Chris's favorite. We tease Dusty about cheesin' it, it looks like he gets it from his dad!
I love this picture. Kyrie is so lucky to have these 2 big brothers!

A visit from Tina

Yes, that is right, we got a visit from Tina. It all started when the phone rang last Friday night. I was upstairs and Dusty was downstairs eating a banana. Dusty answered the phone and headed running upstairs with the phone while still eating the banana. A few seconds after handing me the phone, he came running back in screaming with his mouth covered in blood. I instantly had him lay down, and upon inspection found that a tooth was just about to fall out. That tooth went from being barely loose, to barely hanging on. My only guess is that while eating and running up the stairs, he bit down funny and ground his bottom tooth with a top one and with the pressure from a permanent tooth next door that is crowding all the space, it popped this baby tooth loose, and caused quite a bit of bleeding. I knew with experience with the first loose tooth, that there was no chance of him letting me pull this thing out. He did get dizzy, which is why I had him lay down (now that we know how he is), and I gave him some juice and tried to get his little mind thinking of other things. The next morning the boys were eating yogurt for breakfast and Dusty came running up the stairs saying "Mom, it came out". Luckily he made it through the event without even getting dizzy. Anyway, that night we knew that our angel Tina would be coming for a visit! So this story is for all of you who don't know what Tina's important job is up in heaven - She is the toothfairy (right Sara?)!

2 weeks old!

Kyrie is already 2 weeks old! I feel so spoiled and definately blessed to have her. She has already made such a big difference in our lives, and I cannot imagine life without her. I love to hold her ALL DAY! I just can't get enough of this little one. I feel naked without her, if I absolutely must put her down for some reason, I hurry as fast as I can to do whatever it is so that I can hold her again. For some reason I feel comforted when I hold her. I Love her so much, she is so special to me. I wish that all of our family and friends could meet her! But in a way it has been so nice that I haven't had to share, I mostly get her all to myself! I don't know when we'll make it back to Utah, but when we do, or if any of you make it out here, I promise I will share for a minute.

Back to School

Yea! We finally got Hayden back in school. I am so excited to have him going - I have really missed his school in Vernal. Life is so much happier here when Hayden has something that is just for him, and it has been a hard couple of months since we have moved. But I already see an improvement this week since he's been going. Next week he'll start riding the bus to school. He goes to a preschool class that it at an Elementary school where he gets speech therapy. The school district here holds the classes 4 days a week instead of just 2. My little Hayden is now gone more than Dusty! Too bad we had to learn off of Hayden, but now Kyrie will be much better off. When Hayden was 10 months old we noticed that he had a tied tongue ( I don't know why it took us that long to notice). I took him in to the Dr. to get it clipped and was told that the procedure wasn't necessary and that they don't really even do it anymore and I was sent home. So after speech problems, we finally got it done just before his 4th birthday. He didn't have good motion with his tongue, and learned to speak incorrectly and now needs speech therapy. So when Kyrie was born one of the first things I checked was her tongue, and sure enough she had a tied tongue! When the pediatrician came in I asked him about it and I didn't want to leave the hospital until it was corrected. But again, this doctor thought it was unnecessary to do the procedure. So after we left the hospital, we took her to another pediatrician and he sent us right to a pediatric ENT. The ENT could see a definate deformity when she sucked and said it was the cause of her eating problem, he said that it was about 90% tied. He agreed to clip it right in his office, what a relief. So just 4 days old, Kyrie got her tongue clipped. And it was awful! She cried and cried and so did I. He didn't numb her up or anything! It was so hard to see her cry in pain! But I am so greatful that it is done, I just feel so bad that we didn't get Hayden's done sooner. The lesson I have learned, don't give up! Be persistent in what you want, and it is always worth getting a second opinion!

Kyrie

Here are some more pictures of our precious baby. At first we thought she looked just like Hayden. But now that the swelling in her face has gone down we've changed our minds. Chris thinks that she looks more like Dusty now. I think she looks just like a Kyrie. We think she is beautiful and couldn't be happier. All I want to do is sit and hold my baby, I just can't get enough of her. The last 3 nights I haven't gotten much sleep, but I can't complain - it just means more time that I get to spend with her! She is such a sweetie and I am so greatful that she joined our family.

Introducing...

Kyrie Belle Scott was born on Friday December 26, 2008. She weighed 7 lbs and stretched to 19 1/2 inches long. Happy Birthday Kyrie!
Her brothers are already torturing their sister. The baby nurse asked them if they wanted to pick out a ribbon for her head and they came back with 3. You can't really see it, but there is an orange bow on one side of her head, a pink one on the other and a big Christmas bow on top.

The happy parents

After some hard work of trying to keep this baby in, we all thought she would be born too early. Well to our surprise, I went in to be induced just 6 days before my due date. They broke my water at 7:42 and she was here at 9:39. She would've been here about 40 minutes earlier if we hadn't been waiting on the doctor to get to the hospital. So it was a really short and easy labor/delivery. We are so greatful that I was able to carry her for so long. We have seen many blessings with this pregnancy and we thank all those who helped pray for us! We have a strong and healthy little baby girl.
